Why a spiral forms
A rotating stage can release gas in a curved expanding pattern. At high altitude the plume may remain sunlit while observers below are in darkness, creating a bright blue-white cloud or spiral against a dark sky.
The twilight connection
Rocket plumes are most spectacular when the observer is in deepening twilight but high-altitude exhaust is still illuminated. Sky Event Radar calculates solar-altitude context to show whether that geometry is plausible.
Use launch schedules carefully
A launch within the right time window is meaningful context, especially if trajectory is known to cross the broader region. A global launch at the same hour is not enough by itself.
Photographs help
A spiral persists long enough that images can preserve stars, horizon direction and exact timing. Those references can later constrain geometry far better than memory alone.

Use NASA/JPL CNEOS, CelesTrak, ADSB.lol, NOAA SWPC and Launch Library 2 according to their coverage and time window. Sky Event Radar keeps missing evidence explicit.
